“Skinner’s Vaporizing Salve was first formulated in the early 1930’s by our grandfather R. Lester Skinner. In the depths of the Great Depression, there wasn’t a lot of money for doctors, and our grandmother suffered from rheumatic fever and encephalitis. In his attempts to relieve her suffering, Grandpa developed a home remedy made from natural ingredients. His successful quest resulted in the birth of Skinner’s Vaporizing Salve.

Soon relatives, neighbors and friends were asking Grandpa for his remedy, as they quickly discovered that this pain relief salve was effective for a wide variety of everyday ailments. Plagued with back pain, Grandpa took some salve to his chiropractor for use in treatment. Realizing the benefits of this product, the chiropractor asked Grandpa for permission to use it with other patients.
